Fontaine Verte
La Maison Fontaine Verte, a newly crafted close relative to the Fontaine Blanche, is our unique take on the legendary green fairy absinthe version – La Fée Verte.
Tradtionally created from the Pontarlier-grown "Grande Absinthe" plant, it is blended with a natural herbal colouration creating this classic and complex floral "Verte". With rich herbal & peppery notes, the profile of Fontaine Verte is highlighted when adding chilled water, it creats a stimulating and refreshing drink with a vintage green louche. Yet some prefer a more intense flavour and sip it neat or pour it over ice.

This chocolate absinthe liqueur is inspired by a hand-written recipe for Crème de Cacao discovered in our distillery‘s recipe book, a recipe dating back to the 1920s. It has been masterfully refined using a combination of our Pontarlier-grown" Grande Absinthe" plant and the finest chocolate infusion.
Fontaine Chocolat is characterized by a sweet richness and is combined with apparent notes of the "Grande Absinthe" plant and chocolate. This creates a unique and soft liqueur.

The Perfect Pour
Highly visual, fountains are very convivial to share with friends by having a fountain placed in front of you when ordering “The Perfect Pour” at a bar. Ingredient:
Preparation: One should put inside the fountain solely cold water mixed with ice to ensure it is always ice cold. However, the water can be flavored using cucumber peels, lemon slices and/or strawberry slices to give it a refreshing twist. Drip, drip, drip A glass with 1 measure of La Maison Fontaine absinthe is then placed under the fountain’s pourer where the water will then slowly drip into the glass. For a sweeter taste, a sugar cube can be placed on an absinthe spoon between the glass and the pouring water. The cloudy effect Known as “the louche”, this effect is a key indicator to signal the quality of the absinthe. A particular chemical reaction occurs when cold water is blended with absinthe giving it a cloudy color. For the perfect blend, you want a color similar to the picture. |
